  1. I feel like my video was worth sharing for morning reflection because it shows how a majority of people that are/were successful and wealthy all faced obstacles. Many were denied there passages to success. But if you believe in yourself, you can achieve.

  2. It was pretty cool that Xavier shared that video with our class to day. I think I needed to hear that this morning, I have three tests today and am hella stressed, but that motivational video made me feel a little better about myself and my abilities.

  3. This video was so encouraging! It was a wonderful way to start off my Friday morning that thus far has been a little rocky. It's so important to remember that there are many, many different forms of success. This video reminds me of a quote I recently heard and remind myself of everyday, "Write 365 bad poems. It doesn't matter as long as you keep writing."

  4. Xavier's morning reflection was really motivational! It might sound cheesy but it really did inspire me because all of the people in the video were legends in all of their fields and overcame their obstacles and put downs. It showed me that I can overcome obstacles in my life and rise to my full potential, no matter what any adult or person for that matter has to say about me. It also taught me how success in society differentiates and means something different to every individual. Everyone has to fail to make even the slightest bit of progress.

  6. "Famous Failures" was a very motivational video. It shows that even famous people have had their downs. Anyone can be successful as long as they don't give into the hard times.

  7. That was an interesting video. This video basically bops everybody how misjudged these famous people before they were famous. I've never tried anything new in my entire life so therefore I'm not a failure but I'm not a success either. I think this video is titled incorrectly because its called "famous failures" but all these people are actually not failures.

  8. Xavier's morning reflection was inspiring. It gave me hope for the future. Although often I feel like giving up, this video showed me that everyone goes to hard times. If you don't fail in life then you'll have nothing to strive for because you think that you're good at anything. It also show me don't ever let no one put you down, just try your hardest to prove them wrong.

  9. This video was not only motivational, but it was incredibly eye-opening and awe-inspiring with its theme. By taking well-known figures and highlighting lesser-known facts, the video became especially effective in presenting its message. As cultural icons, these individuals are often remembered for their successes and impact upon the world, so much, in fact, that their failures are barley remembered or distorted. These failures weren't either. Being rejected by 27 publishers, being told by a teacher that you "wont amount to much", that is enough to destroy any child or growing teen. It helps to show the immense willpower that it takes to overcome such obstacles, and to become the next important figure that will continue to inspire.

  10. I liked this morning reflection. It was interesting to see how many successful and famous people were first rejected by society . I knew about most of these, but I was unaware of the story about Thomas Edison, Michael Jordan, and Walt Disney, so I learned something new. The one that I found the most unbelievable was the one about The Beatles never amounting to anything, when in reality they later became the biggest band in the world. Overall this was a very motivating video.

  11. Interesting video. I am put down everyday and know i have many jealous and envious people. Also I know every one talks negative about me. I learned to not be as vain and to just be humble and eventually good things will happen.

  12. The information I got from the video was, you can't judge someone too quickly. For example, that one person in your class who sits alone, doesn't speak, doesn't pay attention or do any work could be the smartest person in the class.
You may think you know someone but in fact you have no idea who they really are. You have no idea what someone is truly capable of. Get to know someone and then you may have the right to judge them. WE are capable of doing great things.

  13. I liked Xavier's morning reflection, it was really inspiring. It showed us not to give up, and to try new things. Every one that is famous, at one point had a failure. Every one has obstacles, and if we try we can over come them.

  14. I liked the video. I thought it was inspiring because it reminds us that famous people are still human. They all fail like the rest of us. This video makes me think that first you have to fail before you succeed.

  15. to me this video is saying that all threw out time there has been someone who put the best down. Abraham Lincoln become the father of our country; he was put down and that was before our grandparents were born. Eminem was put down; he became famous and is still living. just because someone puts you down it doesn't mean they are right; most likely they are jealous.

  16. The video was very graphic and emotional. The poem held great meaning for rape victims. The excessive language made it even more powerful that it embedded an image in your mind.
