TV Tropes is a wiki[2] that collects and expands descriptions and examples on various conventions and devices (tropes) found within creative works. Since its establishment in 2004, the site has gone from covering only television and film tropes to also covering those in a number of other media such as literature, comics, video games, and even things such as advertisements and toys.[3][4] The nature of the site as commentary about pop culture and fiction has attracted attention and commentary from several web personalities and blogs.
The content was published as free content from April 2008,[5] and changed its license over the years to one allowing noncommercial distribution.

  1. Vsauce is the best for random ideas and tangents. I've seen all of these videos and they are very interesting.

  2. I think that the video was interesting and taught me things that I never knew. I would never think that a simple reflection posses so much meaning behind it. After learning the reason to why the sky is blue and why others eyes are blue is because of the air and suns rays. To me that was pretty cool.

  3. This video didn't really interest me. I'm not really into the science field so it made me bored. But learning is always good and I did take away some knowledge from the clip.

  4. Vsauce has been one o my biggest teachers in the past years. The amount of information he presents is amazing and the originality of the topics he chooses are very refreshing. Michael Stevens from Vsauce has in my opinion turned education into art.

  5. I learned something new today, that was very interesting. It was something different from what we usually watch for morning reflections and different is good.

  6. Personally, I really enjoyed the morning reflection Allen showed us. I've spent many hours watching Vsauce and I always learn something new. I find it interesting that someone as smart as him would spend his time making YouTube videos. I liked that I learned something new this morning about color and the way it works. I've always wondered what color a mirror is, and now I know.

  7. The video was interesting. My younger brother frequently shares scientific facts with me, like the ones in the video. He ruined the magic and mystery of the moon for me by telling me that it does not have its own light, but the light from the sun. Although I do appreciate science and the things it does do for society, sometimes, at least to me, it demystifies the magic I find in everyday life.

  8. Surprisingly I really loved Allen's morning reflection! It taught me so much about colors and how certain things become the pigments they are. The part about the mirror was most intriguing to me because I had never really thought about how a mirror was colored. I immediately referred to the mirrors as silver but as you see in the video it actually obtains the color of what's being reflected in it. I like videos like this because informative videos are always good for extra background knowledge in different topics.

  9. Micheal's enthusiasm is always exciting to witness, as well as essential when it comes to presenting something informative or helpful. This week's video was no exception and it was exceptionally fun to watch. I often see his video's on the front page of YouTube, or as adverts when I'm watching something else, but I never found the time to personally watch them, nor have I had much reason to. So today, when I finally had an opportunity to watch one of them, it helped to remind me just how complex and bizarre the dimensions of science can be. It's very fun to watch a video that can get your brain working, so its particularly effective in this 'dead of morning' environment. I'll have to revisit some of his works later.

  10. The video shown for morning reflection was extremely interesting and informative! I was actually just having a conversation yesterday with my science teacher about the concept of vision and color. It's absolutely fascinating how color is just a matter of light waves reflecting. The idea that color could also be different for everyone is so hard to fathom, how blue for me could be how you see yellow.

  11. This video was mind-blowing. I never thought that a mirror actually had some of the green spectrum and was "somewhat" green instead of silver or just clear.
Optics is a fascinating field of study. Every day there are new discoveries being
made in this field. I had a tour of the University of Rochester's optics lab a few years ago. Lasers, cyclotrons, etc. It was awe inspiring and scary. Lots of food for thought about where technology is taking us. Overall, though, this video was an interesting exploration of how we perceive and react to color.
    Blanco, blanc, black, blegh.

  12. This morning reflection was completely different from the other videos. I've always wondered what color a mirror was, and I am glad this video was made. I liked how it was taught in an engaging way. I've never seen this channel before, and I would like to look at more videos.

  13. This was a very clever video, I never thought about colors and the way they work. Science is not my cup of tea, but it was learning experience.

  14. I liked Allen's Morning Reflection it was really informative. I learned a lot about colors, and how a mirror works. I also learned about how my eyes work. I found the video really interesting and entertaining. I liked all of the imagery and it was just cool.

  15. the video was very interesting. the mirror bounces the whole spectrum off of its service and never really shows us its true colors.the mirror is like a person in a mask hiding behind it-with the spectrum being the mask. a masked person never is willing to reveal their identity. they will even make it so that if they lose their original mask they have a new one to hide behind like the mirrors green effect. no matter how hard you try you never figure out the true identity of a masked person, unless you know the clues to look for.
