The first video I think was very moving how the kids wanted to make a tribute video for the 9/11. The fact that they were so young when it happened and the video had so much meaning to them was just so amazing. As for the second video it was pretty cool. It showed how over the years where the Twin Towers once was, it should in a short video how much time and effort it took to rebuild what was broken. It shows a sense of pride and determination that our country does contain.

ReplyDeleteIn the first video, the students showed that even though they were too young to remember what happened that day, they were affected in the making of their video. They finally realized the lasting impact of that day, and how it continues to have an affect on people's lives. Watching the time lapse video of the ten years that it took to create the memorial, it gives you an even greater feeling of remembrance. Most people don't realize how long ago 9/11 was, until you remember that this memorial took a decade to build, and wasn't even started until a few years after.
ReplyDelete9/11 is a day to remember. So many lives were lost and we lost our trait centers. We will never forget about it. But now as an American I feel more safe when I go to an airport or something because now they are more cautious at what they do there. The day was terrible but it also helped benefit the people of America by bring us more safety and making us more cautious.
ReplyDelete9/11
ReplyDeleteOne of the worst days in Americas history. This day was defiantly a day to remember. Although I was young I can see how big of an impact it had on everyone else in America. although it was a tragic time and a lot of people lost family members and lost their lives. But it also brought us closer as Americans. Sort of like it that was a sign for us to have unity and come together. 9/11 will be forever a day to remember
9/11 will always be one of the most devastating days in American history, and also one of the most widely remembered. The time lapse video did justice to what remembering 9/11 should be, and you can see from the time that it took to make that it was not a half-hearted project. I think it is important for students and children to be aware of the ugly truth of 9/11, which is why I appreciated the high school's video. (Would I have liked them to sound a little less like valley girls? Of course. But was the effort and recognition there? Very much so.) Everyone who is able to personally remember that day will remember what they were doing the exact moment they found out what happened. It completely shook our nation to the core, and will never, ever, be forgotten.

ReplyDeleteAs someone who was very very young when 9/11 happened, it's hard for me to really understand what that day was like for people who were old enough to experience and understand it. That's why I think that it is important for kids to be taught about what happened and more importantly how we can make sure that nothing like that ever happens again. I also think that as the tragedy gets farther and farther away from us, we need to make sure that we don't dwell on 9/11 and that we look towards improving the world in order to have a more peaceful one for the next generation of Americans.

The first video was inspiring. to think that these kids who weren't even necessarily impacted or remember the events that happened on 9/11 could still find it in them to make a tribute video was awesome. I thought the second video was touching. You could tell that it took a really long time and a lot of hard work but to see the outcome was really cool. It’s symbolic of what they decided to do with the space. Instead of covering it up or trying to forget, the buildings literally left their imprint so it can always be remembered.
ReplyDeleteIn the video it showed all of us about the whole incident of 9/11 and what was going on and what everyone felt about it . The teens that were talking about how they felt about it , and how they started to built the building to actually show everyone where the twin towers were.
ReplyDeleteIn the video I saw a lot of things getting built to get a beautiful outcome. They spent a lot of time to build these things for a vast amount of time. There was a lot of things that had to get built. After the big disaster it took a lot of time and effort to come and bring our city back together and like it almost was before the attack.
ReplyDeleteI think the first video was moving. That was cool how they wanted to do a video about it but they were too young to remember. I honestly don't know how to feel about it. Rest in peace to the thousands who died in the world trade center and to the muslims and non muslims who died in the aftermath.
ReplyDelete9/11 affected everyone. Old and young, family and friends. Even if you didn't know anyone who died that day, you get a gut wrenching feeling because it happened. Many innocent people died, people lost their loved ones. The memorial will forever remember those people, it took a while to be built but it was worth it at the end. My friend's aunt died in the second tower, I only ever met her once and it still breaks my heart. I cant imagine how she or anyone who lost someone must feel like today.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these videos showed how 9/11 changed America. The videos really impacted me. The fact that many innocent lives were lost saddens me because many family lost their loved ones. In the first video I loved how students were taught all about 9/11 and decided to make a video project of it. As they made the video, the students told what they felt about 9/11. In the second video it impacted me the most because I saw how constructors built the Memorial which took many years to build. 9/11 is remembered as a horrible day but it brought us closer as Americans.
ReplyDelete.
ReplyDeleteI think that the first video was very moving how kids want to make a tribute for 9/11. The other video was an inspirational that how much progressed since the devastation. R.I.P to all the victims of 9/11 and hope of good years for the survivors going through this day.
ReplyDeleteI remember being in first grade when this senseless event took place. People were stunned tremendously by this and those who were alive during this could have a better understanding than I do. 9/11 was a wake up call for Americans to be aware and that if they let their guards down for even a moment, something like this if not worse, could happen again.

ReplyDeleteI found the video to be interesting and devastating, being one of the many who were infants at this time I don't have all the details and have yet to hear the full story. In a way its scary to believe that this all happened because a couple of men had such strong beliefs that they took it upon themselves to kill hundreds of people. Its the severity of the loved ones affected by this tragedy. Its a mental state that all those people need to overcome. The thought of your significant other being burned alive or jumping off a 50 story building to prevent the pain of being burned. The time lapse video was beautiful, to see so many dedicated hard workers come together just two put two squares in the ground. Its funny , it shows that certain tragedy's can bring a community together. Not just the community the whole world.
ReplyDelete9/11 was one of, if not, the most tragic and devastating days in American history. While watching these videos it was clear how impactful this event was on many peoples lives. What was surprising though was to see how affected these teenagers were to the event that many of them didn't even clearly remember or fully comprehend what was happening at the time. The video was very important because it opened peoples eyes to the significance of educating students about the events of 9/11 and how important it is to know and be respectful of your own history.
