Only one day until winter break--you can do it! Also, happy Valentine's Day.
Today will not be as disturbing as last class, but it was clear from your blog entries that you now see and understand the implications of the My Lai Massacre on those involved. What do you do when you are a soldier who is commanded to do something unjust? It was a terrible war, and remember, after Vietnam, media coverage has been incredibly censored when regarding civilian viewing audiences.
Agenda:
-We will watch some of the film adaptation (this way if you choose to do a screenplay you have something as a reference)
-You will each come up with a discussion question to discuss with the class. You will read your question and then call on your peers for their responses.
-Lab time...write, write, write!
HOMEWORK:
-Read up to PG. 230 (approximately 10 pages a night)
-Get started on your historical fiction writing piece
