  2. This video is very interesting because it allows us to see how old age affects our health, beauty and way of living. A long time ago, people would not live as long and now with all of the new technology and medicine, people live longer. Without these medications our lives would be shorter and much more difficult.

  3. Death is the end of the book of life for each person. Our ancestors died. So have plenty of famous people! Death isn't glorious, nor is it useless. If you were to live to one thousand years old, wouldn't life be useless past 100? Crippled and old, waiting another nine hundred years for something to kill you... we would need thousands of Jack Kevorkians! Unless we make developments that stop us from aging (or can reverse aging), eliminating death is worthless. Unless you want to see suicides rise around the 120+ crowd.

A side note on that Kevorkian thing: If they do get rid of death and we are in need of Kevorkians, I'm calling first crack. That's a good business.

  4. For one this video was all over the place (like this comment), how is it possible to relate waste in water with death and life? This is what I define as a false analogy. Although, I do have some problems with the video, death is an interesting topic that I think about quite often. Another thing going for this video is that it isn’t “This is America” by Childish Gambino.
I don’t care if I die, of course I would like to live a long life, but to me death is what will answer all of my questions. Almost all of the things I want to know about the world will be answered after death. For example, is God real? What does it feel like to be passed over? And the most obvious one: what happens after? This is why I’m not scared to die. I also really want to know how I die, but I’m sure it would be some boring way, like getting way too drunk and end up drowning or going to get surgery and while knocked out for the procedure the two doctors start making love. While doing this they keep pressing the exposure button filling me with a lethal dose of radiation. According to the video, I am what’s holding back the prolonging of life because of my views on death.

  5. This video was interesting, although I never thought of seeing a video like this. Death is something that scares everyone and that is why most people avoid the topic. I don't think that people are necessarily scared of death, but they are scared of death, but that they are scared of the way they've would die and the things that they weren't able to accomplish while they were alive. Nowadays, many people have lots of things on their bucket list. They have lists of things that they want to accomplish before they die, but what if you don't accomplish all the list, would that scare you? Sometimes I think about cherishing every moment in life because just because one is young, it doesn't mean anything. Age doesn't define that you would die sooner. Young living beings have died at an early age, while I've seen elders be in their late nineties and still living. In stories that I heard form my grandparents and stuff, they had lived long years of life, while nowadays our life expectancy has decreased, and that is something scary.

  7. What I got from the video is that it would be good if humans didn't age, got sick, and live longer or be immortal, to get rid of the diseases and sickness. I don't think that's a great idea. Death is natural and it is what helps stabilize our population along with sickness such as cancer. Yes, I am afraid to die but I have to come to peace with it and have accepted it since I know it's what's bound to happen. I don't think we should do anything to alter it. Aging is apart of life and the cycle. We're born, grow up, then die. It is how it is and how it should be.

  9. The concept of death throughout cultures has very different meaning. In many cases, death is the ending of something new; however, in some cases, death is a curse. Currently, the views expressed in the video show the more conscious 21st century. Viewing death as a curable disease is something that was once remedied with magic such as, the fountain of youth, the blood of a dragon, being cursed by god like the wandering Jew. As of now, dodging deaths scythe has become more of possibility. Humans fascination with immortality and defining death has existed for years. That notion has been unachievable in a mortal body, many cultures see immortality as spiritual and only to be achieved after death. Though we may dream of a time where no one may die, the repercussions could be disastrous.
Already the world is becoming overpopulated and overcrowded and with the integration of immortality, the population would multiply immensely.
People tend to come to the conclusion that death gives their life meaning because if nothing were to end and nothing was negative then what was positive becomes more of a neutral. The notion that death may be defeated is legendary but would cause more problems as our bodies aren't meant to sustain 100's of years of cuts and scars, crashes and trauma.

  10. This video was intriguing and made me think about death a different way. Death is always creeping on everyone no matter what age they are. Personification was used to describe death. It comes in many ways such as illnesses and accidents. Death is a topic that people don't feel comfortable talking about. Some are lucky to live a long time, but some are unfortunate. No one is really comfortable talking about when they are going to die. People also have to make their will, which worries their loved ones. Death is the last stage of life.
