In the Lake of the Woods

Agenda:

-Go down to the library and check out the book
-We will be reading the first two chapters as a class

• As we read, look for paragraphs or phrases that you find particularly interesting. Why do they strike you? 
• After reading other work by Tim O'Brien, what do you think we can expect to see in this novel as well?

-Also, we will briefly discuss the structure of the novel ( what does it mean to have three kinds of story happening within one text?)

WRITING:
The marking period ends on Friday, March 21.  Please make sure you have completed all work for this class.  That means a completed story for The Snow Child assignment.
This is an important project grade for the marking period.  If you have completed this and have a grade for the assignment, you may work on your own using prompts from the"prompt" book for extra credit or begin the reading assignment for Thursday.

HOMEWORK READING: read through pg. 46 (up to Ch. 8 for Thursday)
